Hey hello! :)
My name is Ashley Collins, I am a Durham Region based couples and wedding photographer but will travel anywhere your heart takes you. I love to travel. Most people call me Ash so feel free to just call me that! I am usually known as the person who always wears bright and colorful clothing. I don't even think I own many black pieces of clothes. I am drawn to color, which leads me to my favorite color... Purple. You will be able to tell by my hair, it is almost always bright purple, it is always a conversation starter.
My love for photography started when I was really young. I LOVED flipping through old photo albums that my parents had in our houses. We have this massive tupperware bin of photos that we have printed when I was a kid taking photos on my parents film cameras and those disposable ones you can get from Walmart. Those were the BEST!! It is my favorite pass time to dig through that bin and relive all those memories. The photos were not even perfect, some were blurry, some were close ups of mine and my friends noses haha. Grasping the natural and authentic emotion and spur of the moment actions is what sets my heart on fire.
My love for nature began when I was only 6 months old and my parents took me camping in Algonquin Park. We have been camping at Lake of Two Rivers campground ever since. I love hiking in the forest and visiting amazing look outs and views. My heart is in nature and that is why I love photographing couples who are adventurous, cause who doesn't love a good adventure? You know, the ones that aren't really planned or you get lost and end up on a totally different adventure and it ends up being better than what was planned!! Wedding venue in a campground or cottage, Hell yeah I will be there taking it all in with you!!!

Algonquin Provincial Park has become a second home for me. The colors during the fall are something you just have to see for yourself. Truly amazing!
Fun Fact
I spent 5 years flying back and forth to England to visit my husband as we were doing a long distance relationship. He is now a PR of Canada
and we finally live together!!
